Question Clutch/Starter Safety Switch

I have an '89 4X4 with a 5spd. There is a safety switch that requires the clutch pedal to be pushed-in before the truck will start. My question is whether that switch is adjustable? I have to push the pedal almost through the floor to engage the switch! Any ideas? I can't even find the damn switch!

I don't have any specific experience with this switch, but from the Haynes manual:

Description
Starting in 1984 all manual transmission vehicles are equipped with a starter clutch interlock system which requires the clutch pedal to be depressed all the way to the floor in order to start the engine. The system operates by means of a switch located on the brake and clutch pedal support bracket. The switch plunger is attached to the clutch pedal and extends as the clutch pedal is depressed to actuate the switch. The switch is electrically connected across the ignition switch and the starter motor relay coil to maintain an open circuit with the clutch engaged (pedal up) position. The switch is designed to be set automatically with the first flooring of the clutch pedal.

Testing
Disconnect the connector at the switch by flexing the retaining tab on the switch housing and withdraw the connector.
Using a test light or continuity testor, check the electrical continuity of the switch. The switch contacts should be open with the clutch pedal up (clutch engaged) and the contacts should be closed when the clutch pedal is depressed to the floor (clutch disengaged).
if the switch does not operate as described, check if the self adjusting clip is out of position on the rod. if so, remove the clip and reposition the clip closer to the switch.
Reste the switch by depressing the clutch pedal to the floor.
If the switch still does not operate, replace the switch.

Adjustments
If the adjusting clip is out of position on the rod, remove both halves of the clip. position both halves of the clip closer to the switch and snap the clips together on the rod. Depress the clutch pedal to the floor to adjust.

HTH... looks like it doesn't adjust very much.
