Post 88 5.8L Fuel Pump Relay

I have a problem with my 88 F150 4X4 w/5.8L.
Sometimes when I shut off the engine the fuel pump keeps on running. I have been disconnecting the battery because I don't drive it every day. A local mechanic told me to check the relay and if that wasn't it I could take it to him to diagnose. Can someone tell me where to find that relay? I think it's by the air filter but I'm not sure. If that isn't the problem does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Ron

My cousin and the fire department I am with had the same problem on ford trucks. The relay is located on the drivers side on one of two places. On the driver's fender or on the fire wall nest tothe brake booster. Let me know if ya find it.
