I have a 1992 F-150 302 V-8 extended cab. Since it was new it has had a clanking noise in the drive shaft. Sounded to me like it came from the rear end. After many trips to the dealer they said it was the drive shaft and it is normal because of the extended cab , carrier bearing ?Anyone else have this problem ,or have any thoughts? Thanks

 

I have a 92 F150 with 351 at 4x4 extcab. 355LS and does the exact same thing? almost like there is play in the rear end, been doing it as long as I can remember.
