Question Whats the maitainance schedule for the E4OD?

I'm thinking of having my E4OD flushed and having a new filter installed. Is this necessary? What does Ford reccomend for this transmission. I have 47,000 miles on a 1995 Bronco. Thanks.

I would do it. I think the maintence schedule for the older ones like ours is 30000miles?

The new ones are like 100k?

I just had mine flushed at Grease Monkey. It costs me 69.95 but they replaced about 16 quarts of fluid and cleaned the filter. You really don't need to replace the filter if they hook the machine to the trans cooler lines because it reverses the flow and cleans the filter. It's a good investment and the mileage is about right on your truck.

1FT--I had the same thing done to my truck last summer. Do you know if they clean the torque convertor fluid too?
