Question Swapping Noses

Can I take the nose off my 1990 f-150 (bull dog nose) and BOLT ON a 1986 Nose with out any problems? I plan on removing the fenders, (inner and outer) hood, complete grille. Can I use the '90 radiator core support for the '86 nose?????

You ought to not have any problems. The only thing I can think of, is the light connectors probably won't work. 87-91's had just headlights and turnsignals, where 80-86's have headlights, turnsignals, and sidemarker lights.

Thanks!

The body lines will match up OK? ('90 door line to '86 fender), and the horizontal bend line down the length of the truck?

Honestly, I don't see how a 86 style wouldn't work perfectly. The radiator, is the only thing that I can't honestly tell you. The 1980-1996 trucks are the same.

The cowl on the 1980-1986's have a straight line, where 1987-1996's have holes instead. That might be a problem, I haven't seen a 1980-1986 on a 1987-newer, but have seen plenty of 87's on 92 and newers.
