Need advice on 1994 5.0 engine

I am going to be replacing the 5.0 engine in a 1994 F150 soon. I wanted to add a Crane Powermax 208/216* cam (Crn-444211) , long tube headers, dual exhaust, and a cold air intake.

THEN I read online that 1994 F150's had the Speed Density computers which limit them alot. So, my question is: do all '94 5.0's have speed density? (If not, then how do I tell what I have?)

And, are the above mods worthwhile if the truck does have Speed Density?

This truck will be my new daily driver when I'm finished. I don't want to spend alot of money on a cam, cold air kit, exhaust, etc. only to be disappointed.

Thanks,
Mark

That cam has a 112° LCA and fairly mild specs. It should work with S/D but why don't you just call Crane and ask them? Their tech line is pretty good and they do not want to sell you the wrong cam.

I think it depends on the transmission that it came out with, if you have the 4R70W transmission then you have MASS and if not some had SD.
If you have MASS there will be a sensor near the air box on the driver’s fender.
If you have MAP (SD) the sensor would be at the top RH (passenger) side of safety wall (fire wall) with a vacuum hose to it.
