Tips
Flowmasters are just the muffler. You buy the tips separately. But, while most of the sound does come from the muffler, larger tips do create a larger sound than the dinky stock tip since there is more metal to resonate.
While it won't make a world of difference, larger tips, and having dual instead of 1 will decrease back pressure, thereby increasing output, increase the sound, and they most certainly look better!
Sure, chrome tips don't keep their shine as long, but they are shinier than stainless steel. As long as you wash the tips every so often, they should be fine. And if they start to become oxidized, most of the spots should come out with steel wool, or at least that's what the guy at a nearby muffler shop said. I'm gonna try that soon when the rain stops.
