Question Dual exhaust

I have 92 F150 XL 4x4 302 it has single exhaust dual cats and one O2 sensor before the cats. I want to take all that stuff off and get headers and dual exhaust (not too loud mufflers) BUT I'm worried about where to re install the O2 sensor or if I need to have two O2 sensors (one for each side). The muffler shops around here (North Bay Ontario)all have different answers. One guy swore it couldn't be done but I have seen other fords 89-96 with duals. If anyone had this scenario I would appreciate some tips.

Thank

Guy

I have true duals on my 89 F-150 4x4. They removed the pre-convertor and convertor. Right before the pre-convertor is true duals. The o2 sensor is on a tiny h-pipe. I am not sure if it would be legal to do this in Canada, but in the US this is illegal. I bought it this way, and according to the law, I wouldn't have to correct it. I have two turbo mufflers that come out on each side behind the wheels.

Cool

i have a 95 flareside 4byford that a friend at a muffler shop replaced my exhaust manifolds back (no cats) he placed the o2 senser on the drivers side pipe about 4-5 inches back from the connection where the exhaust meets the manifolds, i'm running two dual chamber flowmasters straight back to a couple of borla tips it looks awsome but it is quite loud, i think i would use the new delta flow mufflers if i had it to do over again.

i have headman headers on my '90 f150, they have a o2 sensor mounting boss on the right side. i plugged it with a supplied plug on mine and left the sensor in the stock location, punched out the front converter, removed the rear and have a flowmaster with 3" inlet and dual outlets that exit under the bumper it sounds great!
