Post Stupid Leaking Vent Windows!

Anybody elses (I am sure they are) Vent windows leak on a hard rain or carwash? I don't have this problem on my 89, but my 93 is terrible! As you know the 92-97 design has a squared off end(close to the hinges) and the pre-92's have a rounded end. I know this has something to do with it! Any suggestions?

Pastmaster, My '93 has no leaks. Except for air leak around door (just fixed with weather stripping).

For a vent window, I would try running a thin bead of clear silicone sealant on the edges of the glass where they meet the OEM seal. Tube silicone should cost you about $3.00 and available at any hardware store. Get the kind designed for tub & tile sealing (sticks better).

Good luck,

Hey, good thinking! I don't ever open the windows, so it may just be smart to seal them! Thanks Nailer!
