i noticed in your sig that you list your tranny as an e4od. i thought that the 302's came w/ aod's (later on aode's, aka 4r70w) and 351's had the e4od. please tell me if i am wrong. thanks.

the E40d was introduced in 1989, but made it into the F-150's in 1990. I think most 1992-on 302's have the E40d. My 1989 F-150 has the AOD. I believe the last year for the non-electronic AOD was in 1993. Then it became the 4r70w. Most of the 302' equipped F-150's of the 92-96 era had the e40d's around here. My truck's were both manu'd from the Norfolk assy. plant. It could be that other plants didn't use the e40d or something.
