Post Lund Premier Tonneau Cover-- another dissappointment

You guys must be thinking I'm some kinda perfectionist by now, first the K&N, and now this... but I figure I should voice my problems before someone else get's sucked in. I purchased this cover for my truck, and had it installed by my local truck shop. Upon looking at the cover, and going over it with one of the installers, I noticed one of the corner snaps popped up. I went over to push it down, only to have another 2 pop up. Problem being, this system uses PLASTIC snaps, and with 10 minutes of use they were so worn that they wouldn't hold the corners down.

I talked to the manager there, and I ended up getting some metal snaps, that I will have to grind to fit for the corners. hmmmm.... do I have a right to be mad? LOL

Yes, you paid for something, they sold! Do they want more customers?

I had a LUND bug deflector once. After about two years it was so badly oxidized I had to replace it. I kept it clean and polished. I was pretty dissapointed. I have a BUGFLECTOR now that has held up fine.

Here's an update for you guys;

After a recent heavy rain, about 30 gallons of water accumulated between the two bows. I promptly dumped it, and the cover had stretched with a huge dent in the middle. A day in the sun tightened and dried the cover, but it was still stretched.

Local shop called Lund and they decided to send an extra bow free of charge. They might be trying to rectify the problem, but it's still not acceptable. Who knows, I'll keep you guys posted. I'm going in today, so we'll see what happens.

Cool

It must be a defective cover. I have the Lund cover on my truck and love it. I have no problems. As a matter of fact, it is made by Lund for Ford. I have installed plenty of them and have had no problems whatsoever. The cover on my truck is the Lund piece, not the Lund/Ford piece.
