Column shift fix?

Hey guys, I have 96 F150 351, 4x4 ext. cab. that I need help with. The locator pin is off. Not sure of the correct name, but it's the little red thing that lines up in front of P for park, R for reverse... you get the idea. When in park, it's over the R. In drive, it is actually over the 2. It works, but I'd still like to fix it if possible. Any quick fixes???

all it needs is to be adjusted. i forget whether the adjuster is on the gauge cluster or in the steering column behind the steering wheel. i'm pretty sure its on the steering column though.

Don't know if they are the same, but I have a 89 and it is on top of the steering column right where it meets the dash. Just a little adjustment of a screw. I just completely tore down my steering column and built it back up.
