Post E4OD to 5-speed Swap???

Hey guys... has anyone ever swapped out and auto for a 5-speed? What's required? Cost wise? What would I be getting myself into?

It'd be a bitch. You'll need another flywheel, driveshaft and starter for beginners, and maybe a different ECM. It would be hard to ever get it to where it was 100% right. I'd leave it alone.

I agree with Ford-man, you wouldn't gain anything doing it. You can get shiftkits, and torque convertors, and etc, and it would be as good or better than a manual's performance
