Down to the sensor's ( I hope!)
After all the response's and reading up on trying to rid my "load pinging" problem, I believe the sensors( TPS, EGR, possibly the MAP) are left to trouble shoot! I thoroughly cleaned the injectors, throttle butterflys, and tackled the IAC, ALSO saving the gasket (Pastmaster would be proud). Reset the timing at about 10-11 deg. before TDC, checked all the vacuum lines, plugs and wires are ok and did some slight trimming on the fresh air intake as it plugs into the airbox. Truck still starts up fine, idle's smooth, but try to rev it up "quickly" from idle or accelerate from low end in each gear(5th too), it still lurches, pings hard, and sputters until you ease up and then it's fine. Shows no service light codes, but need to access those memory codes to see what they show too....To be continued.....

JOHNNY MC,
Read the post I made to Pastmaster under surging 302, a few days ago. This should help you out with the EGR Sensor. as for reading the trouble codes. I found a great site http://dalidesign.com/hbook/eectest.html
This is a sample link to a book for Fords EEC-IV truck engines. It helped me out a lot when I went searching for my codes. I found on mine, it wasn't necessary to hook up a light or meter between the test jack and a 12VDC connection. With the jumper wire in place, my codes flash out on my dash (engine service light). Then cross the codes to the list and it will send you in the right direction. Let me know if you need more info.

Yeah nailer, I was needing more info on the codes and how you go about getting them. I was trying to do as much as I could and can before having to dish out some $$ for one of those Diagnostic machine's. This way, with everyone suggestion's on cleaning this or checking that, I've saved some money and learned more about the truck. Thanks Again.
