Where are you planning on getting your fender flares from? I need a set for my 94. I don't want to spend $300 for my beater 215k mile truck.

Nice lookin rig!
I'm fond of the '95 body style too. Still have my EB Ext Cab! She's showing some age with dings and minor dents from my workin' her so hard. Had the suspension and trans rebuilt at 240,000, but at 285,000 she's still runnin' strong. I can't bring myself to part with her!

You're gonna luv that I-6. That thing will pull stumps out of the ground! Strong motor. Just be sure to take care of it. Sounds like you're on you way to spiffin' it up real nice. The new wheels should look real nice.

PS: Just a note, take care of the wheel well damage before it turns into a BIG problem. But I know you've already planned on that, huh!

now it's just gonna keep on rusting away it's too nice of a truck to let it rot under you expecially as you seem to be working to make it nicer

HEh, It's something you noticed that. My dad and I each took over 1.5 hours each on sanding that thing down. I'm pretty sure we got almost ALL the rust off, it's just we didn't get it completely smooth, only because I'd like to add Chrome bumpers next spring. I'm not sure yet what I want to do, but because I painted that bumper, I did seal it to stop all the rust as well...

Here's some updated pictures from Yesterday.

Yes...that is me. haha =P

Picked up the rims with 75% tread on the Toyo Open Countries for a whole $200 bucks =]

As soon as I make some money with the Motorcycle I'm trying to sell, the Fender Flares will be ordered. I should get the Por-15 though, just to stop the rust.

i'm a body man by trade, next time you have a pitted area that you paint over, grab some glaze coat / glazing putty (the stuff that goes on top of the plastic filler) and it'll make the pitted areas smooth over and no one will ever be able to tell

it's a good looking truck, keep up the good work

Looks great. Just leave the bumper as is until the rust comes back. Then get a wire wheel attachment to rip it down to bare metal.

the paint on this truck is still in good condition.

have you clay bared it, or done any waxing to it?

if you could get a polisher some good waxes, and a clay bar kit you could have that paint looking incredible.

I've done nothing but wash it, and spray this "wax" on it.

Could you give me some info on the clay bar and such you speak of?

The paint is in REALLY good shape. I just need to figure how to get the rust gone.

New Picture!!

As you can see, the rain delayed my Rust work this weekend. Hopefully next weekend I can play around with it.

I'm 800 miles from 217,000 miles. I bought it with 214,769.

Haha, don't laugh when I tell you, but I acually picked those up from Harbor Freight. Not for the intentional purpose of putting them on my truck, but I had them, and figured I'd throw them on.
When I get my light bar, I'm acually considering putting 6 of those up there, because they are so bright.

just replying about the clay bar.

if you look in the care & detailing section, you will find all kinds of great information on paint care. meguiars has a clay kit at walmart, which has everything you will need. claying a car is very easy, but you will definitely need to apply a wax after you clay. clay barring strips the dirt and grime that has been embedded in the clear coat over the years. i doubt your truck has been clayed, so it wouldnt hurt. if you dont want to get too into the detailing process just get a clay kit which is like 15 bucks at walmart and some nxt 2.0

you could pick up a good basic kit of wax, a #6 #7 and #26 wax, they are all products of meguiars, and it would make your paint look absolutely incredible. but those products require more time, but the result will be very worth it.

snoop around the care and detailing, and read the stickies. you will learn a whole bunch of great information

Congrats on the new truck, you'll love it. I agree that 92-96 is the best and 73-79 is second with the 56 right behind it.
