Red face 94 Bronco 351 body lift

Hi, I am thinking about installing a 3 inch body lift on my stock Bronco. We do a lot of driving around the local logging roads and I'm needing the extra clearance. Should I go this direction or should I put in a suspension lift?. Like I say right now it's stock with 31's and its the quad shock front end set up.
We're completely new to this so any help or advice would be great along with the pros and cons.
Thankyou in advance

Dave.

well if its the body that needs the clearance than the body lift would be alright. it would be alot cheaper. but if its the differentials and drive train that need the clearance then a suspension lift is needed. i personally prefer suspension lifts. but for yours i believe the lowest you can go is 4 inches of suspension lift.

Body lifts offer fenderwell clearance for bigger tires, but do not offer any ground clearance under the truck (with the exception of the running boards, which will get more clearance). Suspension lifts give the bottom of the truck AND the fenderwells clearance, and also can improve the suspension performance. You will definately get what you pay for here.

If your wanting to go cheap, just to run a bigger tire, a body lift isnt a bad way to go. Personally, I would try to find a 4" suspsnsion lift, put some 33's on it and call it a day. I would think that you would be much happier with this setup as it would allow the suspension to work better, you would have better ground clearance (not only with the fenders, but with your differentials, tranny/t-case, and fuel tank) and later on down the road, if you want to go with a bigger tire, then add a body lift. just my .02

Body lifts are a great way to add a little height. I'm on my third truck with a Performance Accessories body lift.
