fuel pump turns on when battery connected
fuel pump turns on when battery connected
hey everyone i was just wondering if when you conect the battery if the fuel pump is supposed to kick in thought it was weird so i put in a new relay but it is still kicking on for a sec or two when i connect the battery terminals to the battery
If the key was off your PCM Power relay or Ignition switch is bad.

couldnt find pcm relay but found eec power relay thought id replace it but the only place i could find the relay is at the dealer but its a $30 relay could it be the eec power relay?

the key was off and the key was out of the ignition where is the pcm power relay located i would think that would be the easiest and cheapest thing to try first

They changed names when the computer started controlling the transmission also.
I would think a 1991 would have the pcm and not the eec.
i thought they were the same just wanted to know for sure but under the hood the only relays that my 91 has is fuel pump and eec power
I do not have a 1991 manual but I see the 1990 manual calls it the eec power relay and the 1993 was the first year they called it the PCM Power relay.
