help:My 95 f150 with 302 engine looses oil pressure at idle after being diriven for about 5 minutes. Pressure is fine while driving. I usually keep the rpm around 800 while at stop lights to keep the pressure up. Replaced the oil pump but that did not solve the problem. Any ideas?

 

Have you confirmed the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge? How many miles are on the engine?

 

as long as there is no knocking or ticking your alright to let the truck idle at stop lights. if you leave it in gear and raise the rpm you could end up burning up your torque convertor.
