Running in gear

I have finally gotten this beast put back together and have run into a new issue. Found the oild in eater leak, trans cooler.

History. Truck has been idle 4+ years. Transmission was stolen and then the city of Waco picked it up. I bought it from auction. Been a chore to piece back together.

1991 460 F350 Crew, E4OD.

Runs in park. As soon as I put in gear tries to move (hooray, I rebuilt the tranny) and dies.

Could the load of the tranny be so much it stalls the engine?

you could possibly have a bind in the tranny, something was shimmed right or the spacer between the block and tranny is catching but that would make a loud noise.
