egr valve
egr valve
i have replaced the vacuum lines and the egr valve position sensor but i am still getting the code that says "insufficient egr flow detected"(yes i cleared the codes) and the EGR valve still holds a vacuum so what could be wrong?

gasp! well you know what im saying? the egr vavle is just not worth it. It stands for Exhaust Gas Return. Its supposed to help you out but its soooo worthless man. Just get rid of it you wont regret it.
Actually it's exhaust gas recirculation.
When it's working properly, it only works when you're in a "warm cruise" operating strategy. It imprves fuel economy by introducing waste gasses which occupy cylinder volume replacing air but do not reguire the addition of fuel; it also reduces combustion temperatures and therefore reduces NOX emissions. It has no effect whatsoever on performance because it doesn't operate when the engine is at WOT.

brake booster hose and the PCV hose. the brake booster hose doesnt feed all cylinders. pour have in one hose, and half in the other hose. when its all poured in, turn the truck off and let it sit there for 5-10 minutes. then crank it up and blow it out. letting it sit while the engine is off lets the sea foam sit around the valves and eat up any extra carbon.
okay so today i even replaced the EVP(EGR valve position sensor) and the light came back on, i spaced it out a little with newer gaskets and it still came on, whats the problem?!
