Diesel conversion

I have found an almost complete 92 F-250 with a 7.3l diesel in it at the local u-pull-it. The engine is complete. I want to convert my 93 F150. I plan on pulling the engine, tranny and fuel tanks. Do I need to pull the wiring harness and is there an engine management computer? I will also pull the front springs if I need to. What else do I need to pull or get?

I dont think they started using computers on the 7.3's til 94 when they put the first turbo on them. It should be a straight-forward swap-over.

Computers weren't on the diesel's until '94.5 with the introduction of the 7.3L Powerstroke.

The diesel you found is a non computer controled 7.3L IDI. However Crewwzin, they did come with factory ATS turbos.

For the motherload of IDI info Kenny, check out www.oilburners.net Even step by step IDI conversions into F150s and Broncos.
