78 wheels

I have a 1978 f150 4x4 351m with an auto. This was my first new car or truck and I still have it at the farm. I would like to put on some 10 1/2 x 31 tires. Iwould like wheels to be 15-17 inch . Will these fit with no mods. It sits up high because its a 4x4.Also what years fit this 5 lug pattern with 3 1/2 hub. I would like to find some cheap mag stile take offs but not many have this lug pattern. How come I cant make my own multi pattern wheels out of some 1998 ford f150 17 inch mag wheels? I know its to much work but what other wheels fit, I want something cheap! Thanks all

Hey there, you can use any wheel that you find from a 1/2 ton f150 or fullsize bronco up to year 1996. Nothing after that year will fit. The bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5 if you didnt already know that.

31s will fit no problem, 33's with a bit of rub at full lock. From the 50s till '96 had the 5x5.5 pattern so not sure what you mean by not many having that lug pattern. '97 was the change to 5x130mm.

thanks everyone. I know they made a lot of rims for this truck, but they were not making many factory mags like there making now.Anyway found some 8x15 mag rims with center caps with 31x101/2 tires off a 94 eddie bauer Bronco.I think they will work great!
