Question Fuel Gauge Help

I have a 94 F150 LWB XLT 5.0. The front fuel tank works But the gauge does not. Is there a is there anything I could check to find the problem? I'd hate to replace a good fuel pump just because the float doesnt work.

The float is separate in the 1994, It can be replaced without replacing the Module (pump).
You can also check the gauge by unplugging the plug going to the tank and ground the gauge wire pin with the key on. The gauge should peg and when you un-ground the pin the gauge should peg the other way.
To replace the sender just un-plug the yellow wire and take out the two screws that hold the sender to the tubes plate.
Reverse to reinstall.
