Unhappy outlaw is in the tranny shop

yup 289 as it stands. i changed the fluid and filter 2/18 (monday) and did an oil change at the same time. after said changes, the tranny (aod) would slip outta gear while slowing down and getting into park, and around 30-35ish. so its gonna be till sat before i see the bill and get it back

yeah guys shes in the shop for a FULL rebuild $1400 USD and that includes ALL the clutches ALL the bands the torque converter replacing the valve body filter and fluid and sealing back up. what isnt being replaced is the orbital gears. soo everything but the aluminum casing pretty much

That is not that bad. It's still a lot so I feel your pain. Did the truck ever stall in reverse or when you came to a stop?

No it hadent gotten that far yet. but all the clutches were burnt metal pretty much. slipping in and out of gear everywhere. and now its like butter

is your truck manual or automatic, in your sig it says auto but im not sure but if it is automatic im not sure how your burnt your clutch when you dont have one.

Automatics have internal clutches.

Torque converter? what are the internal clutches then?
