91 F150 XLT 2wd, power windows. Has anyone replaced a window regulator? My power window motor spins but the window doesn't go up or down. I'm told the regulator needs replaced.
How difficult is this?
Does anyone have experience at this?

 

I'm not sure if they changed them any from a 1988. But on the '88 the gear would strip at the window motor, just inside the motor if I remember right. Easy to change the stripped gear once you get the motor out. You can get the motor out if you are used to doing repair work and have tools. A little tricky but not too bad. It's been quite a few years since I did this so I can't remember any exact details. Good luck.
