No power to fuel pump

Last night my truck just died. Started up then just quit. There is plenty of power it turns over normal but I cant hear the fuel pump "whirr" Cranked it over and checked at the schrader valve and there is 0 pressure. Replaced the high pressure pump and still nothing, the in tank pumps are only about 6 months old. I could hear the "click" that the relay makes. Any ideas

Do you have a wiring diagram? You're going to need to trace some stuff.
Is there power at the relay input (not control power but the main power in) ?
If not check fuses and/or fusible links.
Then check to see if there is power at the relay output

I have the haynes diagram, but that book isnt worth the paper its written on. Cant find any fuses, the box under the dash has nothing to do with the fuel system, checked them all anyways and none are blown. And I cant find any fuses under the hood either

Now Im just completely confused, went to check for power so I turned the key to the on position and heard the pump prime. Did it once and that was all, now its back to being completely dead

If you for sure have no ignition spark, I would address that issue first, it may well solve your whole problem. It is very common for the ignition module on the side of the distributor to go dead on this vintage of Fords. I would check to see if you have power to the ignition coil with a test light or multimeter IGNITION SWITCH TURNED ON, ENGINE NOT CRANKING. One of the small wires that hooks to the coil (pull the harness off the coil) should have power to it, again ignition switch turned on. If you have power there, but no fire at the plug wires when cranking the engine, most likely the ignition module. Could be other ignition components, but I won't go there yet. You need a special socket like tool to remove the ignition module.

Guessing my buddy just couldnt see the spark. There is power to the coil and to the dist. Where the hell are the fuel pump and EEC relays on these trucks? I also havent seen any fusible links anywhere under the hood. Tried running the self test by jumping the two points but it doesnt even do that anymore.

You may have power to the coil, but are you getting spark through the spark plug wires to the spark plugs? I Have had a lot of Fords of this vintage, only one F-150 (a 1988) but several Taureses (1987-1990) which have the same basic ignition system. If I understand these correctly, the ignition module also activates the fuel injectors. I know when the ignition module goes dead, you won't have a flooded engine, even after a lot of engine cranking. I would definitely make sure you are getting fire through the spark plug wires to the spark plugs before you do anything else. Now I may be way off base here, but the best advice I can give you is CONFIRM THE SPARK THROUGH THE SPARK PLUG WIRES FIRST.

One more question if anyone knows, what is the part number for the TFI module? I have the distributor with the TFI from an 83 Lincoln that I know is good, looks identical but I want to be sure befor I try using it.

I highly doubt that they would be the same. Which engine do you have in your "89 Lariat? Ironically, I was looking up the modules on the Advance Auto Parts web site this morning. $36.98 for my '88 F-150 with the 4.9 liter 6 cylinder, Gp Sorenson part # EL122. You could go to one of the online sites and log in both the Lincoln and your F-150 and compare the part numbers. Many of the auto parts stores can check your old module to see if it is good, before you buy a new one.

Oops, the module is from the old 84 Grand Marquis, the truck is a 5.0 same as the GM. The part number pops up as the same on the Advance site.

Well after all this turns out the inertia switch was acting up. Not sure what the hell was wrong with it, I tried resetting it several times and swapping it with another I had (it was bad too )

Least the truck is running again, thanks for the help.
