Anyone ever had to replace a flywheel on an '88 150 4x4 automatic? I can already tell this is going to be out of my league, so will pay a shop to do it... and I'm just overjoyed at paying $600 to have a $60 part replaced... but when your starter just makes grinding noises and the flywheel's ratted out... wouldn't be surprised if that's the original installation.

 

did you check the starter drive first? could be all you need.
