Question Shocks

My dad has a 94 F-150 4x4, and he is unhappy with the shocks he currently has on the front. His birthday is this month and i am going to get him a set of shocks but i am not sure what to get. All he is concerend with is ride quality. What is the best riding shock that i can get?

I did the shocks in my 89 a little while ago, put Rancho 5000s all round and they work just fine for me. They are fairly cheap as far as shocks go 65$CAN ea if i remember correctly. I would think that you should get him shocks for the rear too and not just the front. Aftermarket on front and stock on rear may ride rough/funny. Thats just my .02$ thought. I hear BDS and Bilstein are pretty good too. Hope this helps.
