Blinking ABS Light
Blinking ABS Light
ABS light blinks 15 times then does a long blink, then starts blinking again.
Vehicle is a '93 F150 AT 5.0V8
Manual says: If the Rear ABS brake warning light begins to flash in a repeatable flash sequence, check the rear antilock system continuous power fuse.
Anyone know where this "rear antilock system continuous power fuse" is?
Fuse panel has two fuses for ABS, a 20 amp and a 15 amp (ABS-stop/hazard-engine control-speed control).
Or is this fuse in the Power distribution box?
Thanks,

Pretty sure the abs fuses are in the cab fusebox. If they both check out fine, then the problem likely lies with the speed sensor on the rear axle. Those tend to go bad and can cause all sorts of problems.
You're not reading the flashes correctly. Click the black Bronco in my signature, then go to the Brakes & Hubs album, scroll down to the diagrams about RABS, & read how to pull the codes.
Problem was the 15 amp (ABS-stop/hazard-engine control-speed control) fuse located in the cab fusebox. It's at the top of the fuse panel and slightly obstructed by the lower part of the dash.
The pattern to the flashes was fifteen continuous blinks followed by a long flash, then repeat.
Hope this helps anyone who comes across this post.
Thanks to everyone for helping out!

I had the same blinking ABS light indication (15 short, one long). The fuse was good, but a previous owner had jammed a wire in with the fuse to power up a CB radio or some such device. The wire was no longer there, but he had done the same thing on another 15 amp fuse to power up the am/fm radio, and that wire was still there. Well it WAS still there, until I got P.O.'d and rewired the radio properly. Glad I did too, because the radio was held into the dash with ELECTRICAL TAPE!!!
Anyway, jamming wires into the fuse holders causes the fuses to not fully seat if said wire is ever removed. I put a small piece of 18 awg wire in each side of the fuse holder and firmly seated fuse #13 --Brake ON/OFF switch, rear anti-lock brake module and brake pressure switch-- being careful not to short one side of the fuse holder to the other, which would bypass the fuse. NO MORE BLINKY BLINKY!
ROCK ON!
