Odd shifting issue

I have a 1989 F150 with a 5.0L engine with 85,000 miles on it. As far as I know, I have the AOD transmission. I've noticed that when I slow down to go around a turn, then speed back up, my truck seems to shudder quite a bit, almost as if it shifted to too low of a gear. Is this what's referred to as converter chatter, or could I be looking at another problem?

It has been at least 9 months since the last service (about when I bought it). As far as I know, the filter and fluid were changed and that was all.

That could be from several things; not just the trans.

Wheel bearings
Tie rods
U-joints
Rear axle
Steering box
Tires
Lug nuts
Suspension bushings

Get a pro trans technician to test drive it with you.
