code 24

Ok, my CE light has been flashing on and off for a while now. Mostly when accelerating and once in a while while cruising, I get code 24 for the air intake charge senosor or vane air meter. Does anyone have a diagram or can tell me where these are located?

Thanks

That truck doesn't have an air meter (MAF), and the ACT/IAT is screwed into the lower intake, just below the fuel rail in the middle of the L side.

But a code does NOT mean that any part is bad, or needs replacing. They mean that the CIRCUIT going to the part is out-of-range, or returning an unexpected value. You have to diagnose that circuit to find out why the EEC is declaring a fault. It's possible that a sensor is dirty or bad, but it's much more likely that it's a bad connection, or damaged wire. It's also possible for the EEC itself to be bad, but that's extremely rare for Fords.

Read this thread. The codes & diagnostic procedures for a '92 are the same as yours, so you can use that version.
