96 F150 Flowmaster or Magnaflow??
96 F150 Flowmaster or Magnaflow??
I have the 302 V8 automatic in my short box, reg cab, 96 F150 Eddie Bauer (black and tan). I want to add the "muscle car" sound to my truck but cant decide on which muffler to get. Obviously its going to be stainless steel and either Flowmaster or Magnaflow. My shop is going to custom bend some pipes for me so I can have the pipes be dual angled out the rear with 3" or 3.5" SS tips. Lets hear your opinions. Cheers!
Do you want it to sound good and controlled? Or just loud as possible? If all you care about is loud, get the flowmaster.
If you don't want unnecessary drone, but still want fantastic, aggressive tone under throttle, get the magnaflow. Oh, and the magnaflow is dyno proven to be better than a slowmaster too

i will be honest i was really worried about alot of drone at highway speed when i did the exhaust but now that i am drivin it (alot of highway) i am very pleased with the maggies, under hard throttle they are loud as heck, but at a steady 2k rpm on the highway it is a very controlled sound. by the way mine is 2.5 inch pipes, no cats,H pipe and it exits (both pipes)in front of the pass rear tire
