My new 85 F150, when it finally gets here

Well, I talked the wife into letting me get another truck. I have an 85 f150 that is gonna be a donor for parts if I need them. The truck should be delivered to my doorstep on Sunday afternoon.

The new truck specs are:
351W H.O.
C6 Trans
4x4
PW,PL,Tilt,Cruise,Air

Future plans for the truck
MPFI conversion
Dump Kit
Detroit Locker in the rear
ARB locker in the front
Pace Edwards hard top

And here's a couple of pics

Damn! That's badass. It looks just like my Bronco... same color scheme and everything... I love the '80s Ford trucks...

I'd put the Detroit in the front & the ARB in the back. You can unlock the front hubs (or one) to disable that diff, and then flip the switch on the ARB to open up the back.

If you're going to stick with the 5.8L, I'd look for a '95 EEC-IV MAF. But if you can live with a 5.0L, I'd get a distributorless OBD-II from a '98(?) Mountaineer. There are a few threads on FSB about converting to EFI, so do some searching over there.

XLT Lariat

45000 Original Miles

has a new spray on bedliner

I bought the truck based on the pictures and a limited description so we shall see how it works out. I am still trying to locate some of the emissions parts to pass the county inspection. Of course the hoses I need are no longer available from Ford. That could work out in my favor, if the hoses cannot be obtained I may be able to get an emissions waver, then I can do what I want with to much hassle.

only 2 days to go. The transport company should be calling me Sunday morning to deliver the truck.

Does anybody know where I can get the original hoses for the emissions system. I need the hoses that run from the air pump to the y tube on the back of the heads, and down to the air pipe.

Thanks

did you try LMC Truck? (wwwl.lmctruck.com), they have everything. You could build a truck with all of the parts they have.

There's nothing special about those hoses, other than shape. You can use any rubber hose that you can bend to fit. Just be SURE you put new check valves in - that's what keeps the exhaust away from the rubber.
