Coil- No Spark- 1992 302
When i bought my truck(1992 302) someone had cut the original plug off that goes into the coil and had it geared up with connectors. The wires coming out of the Harness are two red w/green, and one light brown w/yellow. The guy before me had it wired up so the brown wire & only one red one was hooked up to the coil(the truck ran). I figured this looked cheap and maybe wasn't the best concept. So i went a local yard and bought the plug. The plug was off a 90 302 and had two green wires and one white. So i figured they changed the wire colors between the years. And i put the two greens with two reds and the brown with the white. Now the truck has no spark. Where did i go wrong, and how do i wire it?
Thanks
Thanks
They have been in all the previous editions, but I've heard that the current edition might have some crappy diagrams. I haven't checked one myself, though. Just open it in the store & look. If they don't look complete, don't buy it. Try to get an older edition from eBay - the red cover certainly has the good diagrams, but those are getting old & scarce.
Picked up a manual, Looking at the diagram. And i can tell that i have have the two wire backwards. But where does that 2nd red w/green wire go. It comes out of the harness the same spot as the coil wires?
