Drive Shaft and "F-150 Sport" Question

I have a '92 eight-cylinder with manual transmission. It has a drive shaft made of aluminum. I also have '92 six-cylinder "parts donor." It is also a stick but has a steel drive shaft. Are the two shafts interchangeable? Also, my driver has "F-150 Sport" on either side of it. Does that mean anything other than an extra sticker?

Aluminum driveshafts were used to reduce driveline noise/vibration, based on wheelbase, gear ratio, & other factors. If they're the same length, & have the same style of connections at each end, then they're interchangeable.

The "Sport" package included body-color bumpers, grille, & headlight doors; black door handles, mirrors, lock cylinders, antenna, windshield moulding; & maybe a few other styling cues. But it's possible that a previous owner just bought the badges & stuck them on.

These are XLT Sports:

This one's a fake:

As far as I know just '95 and '96's were available with the Sport pakage. For '92 the special trim was the all black NITE.

Are both trucks four or five speeds? Are both trucks 4x4 or 4x2? Do both trucks have the same cab and bed length?

I had forgotten about the model year issue. That should have been a dead giveaway.

BTW
An XLTS is basically a Lightning without the engine.

In the early 80s, an XLS (XL Sport) was offered as a cosmetically stripped-down truck with extra functional features (like the larger engine, better suspension, & LSDs). In the early 90s, the XLT Sport was offered as a cheap version of the Lightning. It has the look, but not the engine or price tag. Sort of a backlash to the Nite trucks. They had a VERY sporty look, but it was all cosmetic - they had normal engines & suspensions. Too bad they only lasted 2 years.
