92 F150 power window problems

Hi there. Today I noticed that my drivers side power window isn't functioning. The motor was making no noise at all. Luckily it is stuck in the full up position (raining here). I don't have a wiring diagram, but I got the following results with my tester:
Blue/Black- constant hot
White/Black- down hot
Yellow- up hot

The passenger window and door locks work good. Any ideas?

Remove panel and look for pinched and corroded wires. Check motor for voltages.

I had the same thing happen to me on my 93. A plastic piece inside the window motor that holds the gear in place (i think...it was small and yellow) shattered and the gear wouldn't turn. Had the choice of keeping the same motor and replacing the plastic gears for $20 or replacing the whole motor with one that had metal gears for $70. Ended up taking off the door panel, drilling out the rivets and removing and replacing the whole motor. Replaced the rivets with bolts and nuts and put back together and works good as new!

Tips: Remove all screws on panel, including the power window and lock. disconnect the power windows and locks. start to pop the panel away from the door (held in by plastic clips) unclip the light in the door panel near the bottom. You'll have to work the door handle to get the panel to go over it. That should be it, just keep track of which screws went where and it's pretty easy.

Those insulators inside the drive gear are known to disintegrate, and they're pretty easy to replace. MotorMite HELP! (in most parts stores) sells a kit for a couple of bucks; some people use rubber hose; others use hardware like nuts or springs. Ford sells a replacement gear for ~$30, and you can see it by clicking my signature link & looking in the Tailgate Tech album.

My 93 is having window trouble too. Although my motor makes noise, window jumps a little, and sometimes it works, but mostly it just chugs and the window doesn't go up. It goes down just fine. Do you think it is the same end (replace motor or gear)? If so, where is the best place to get them?
Thanks

Yup, pull the motor and inspect gear.

Pictorial instructions here...

Check the channel for rust, if there is alot scrape it off with a flathead screwdriver and then put some grease in it. Cured that problem for me.
