First: you should be aware that it's a fake. It doesn't show the oil pressure. It's designed to show mid-scale whenever the pressure is over 6 psi.
Second: yes, you can buy a cheapo mechanical gauge from Wal-Mart or a parts store & install it temporarily to check your actual pressure. Personally, I don't want a hose bringing hot engine oil into the cab, so I'll never install one permanently. It's too easy to convert the fake to actually work.
