Putting a/c in a non a/c truck?
Putting a/c in a non a/c truck?
Does this seem worth it at all. I would love to have ac in my truck but If it will be to much hassle I wont even bother. If I could get to a junkyard and find an ac truck, would it be worth, cause I could grab everything off that truck. And what all is it that I do need anyway?
One question that kind of applies to this, a couple years back when I changed my heater core. I went to autozone and they had one for ac and one without ac, I got the one without of course, but the two pieces that run through the firewall and connect to the heater hoses in the engine bay werent long enough and not the right angle or something, So i went back and tried the one that supposivly was for ac, and that one worked perfect. Was that a problem with autozone computers, or what?

it all depends on you and how badly you want to have AC. I personally would be looking to doing the same thing if my truck did not have it. that said it is going to be a big job and you are going to need to find a good Donner truck that has everything you need, and it must have the same engine and be about the same year as yours. if you decide to do this, keep us posted on your progress and dont forget to post any questions here so we can help. there are many peple here that know much more than I on these things and you will get a ton of good advice here.
