strange Codes

I'm getting some funny codes from 95 150 4.9 M 5 speed 80,000 miles

I'm getting a 129 and a 167 and last one 225 I got these after attempting a balance test they are KOER codes there were no KOEO codes stored. I found the codes in the Haynes book and am in the proses of checking the sensors.

the truck is running good
any one have any ideas,

Bruce

They're all operator error codes. Read this thread, particularly the "Dynamic Response" section.

Steve you are one smart guy. I am just to timid to hold down the throttle enough to do the test right. I have a aotron cp9150 super autoscanner that I use and it is not forgiving of my operator error. you can have the best equipment in the world and it is no better than the person operating it.

The dynamic response check is used on some applications to verify operation of the TP, MAF, MAP and KS sensors during the brief Wide-Open Throttle (WOT) performed during the Engine Running Self-Test. The signal for the operator to perform the brief WOT is a single pulse or 10 code on the STAR Tester.

Thanks Steve

Steve the manual for my scanner says the same thing that you do, that I am dumb and doing it wrong another problem I get is on the test where you work the steering wheel back and forth. my garage had a very shiny tile floor and the tires turn with out enough resistance to make enough added lode to validate the test. I need to role it out on to the concrete then I get a good test.

Steve do you like to fish?

Not really. I grew up fishing (SW Louisiana), but nowadays I only go with my father when I'm bored & he badgers me into it. I rarely pick up a pole unless he's catching them fast.
