Starter wires

I just got an 89 f150 that has a pull switch to run the starter. It's run from a direct battery wire, to the switch, to the "S" on the fender solenoid. Does anyone know what wire is supposed to be used when turning the key activates the starter? I'd rather not have the starter switch separate.

Pay close attention to page 12-37 in the upper left corner of the 80-96 haynes manual. You would be lookin' for the red/lt. blue wire. Somethin' tells me though that if a person installed a start button, theres a hidden problem with the stock wiring. You'll have to check everything closely.

The thing on the fender is a relay; not a solenoid.
