93 F150 4x4 shift pattern

Hello, my dad owns a 93 f150 4x4 with a 302 and auto trans, problem is his 4x4 shift lever broke and was removed before he bought it. I can crawl under the truck and change between 4wd low and 2wd hi. I am trying to find 4wd hi and was wondering where exactly it was. so basically my question is what is the shift pattern? Thanks for the help

the shift pattern should be 2 hi then straight down 4 hi then left down neutral and last down right 4 lo. this is from the shifter in the cab so it will be *** backwards from underneath!

That works for '88-'91, but '92-'96 have an improved sealed shifter linkage where the pattern is 2h, 4h, push down for N, and then 4l all in a line.

'89, even though you are moving the stick to the left, all it does is clear a shift dentant. The linkage still moves straight back.

This was replaced in '92 b/c of bein' prone to rust solid.

Dill, 4h will be one click right behind 2h. You are passing through 4h and N if you are finding Low.
