Excellent! I was wondering what happened to you. lol. You can test the ECT and IAT sensors with a multimeter. Most manuals, including the cheap ones, have the scale you'll need. Odds are Steve83 has the chart on a page he can post a link to, so if you don't have a manual yet, wait and see if he posts one for you.

LOL I have been working a lot of overtime and modding my Lightning so the 1991 has been put on the back burner for a while. I spent most of last weekend cleaning it up and working on it. I also pulled the radiator and had a leak fixed and replaced my passenger side PW motor. I tried to get a manual but I can't find it locally. I'm going to get one this week.

I still don't understand what the tranny issue had to do with the EGR system, but it's fixed. Like Steve said, the EVR must have been the culprit.

After the warm start issue, I am going to get my A/C compressor replaced and it should be in good shape. The seals are leaking and it makes a grinding sound when running. A local shop quoted me $460 dollars to replace it and convert it to R134. Is that robbery or about the going rate?

I don't have the slightest idea. I don't do any A/C work at all, and haven't had to have any done. I'm sure several guys here will have an opinion to share, though.

If they do it right using a new compressor, accumulator, orifice, O-rings, PAG-42 (make SURE they don't use PAG-100 or -150), refrigerant, & flush, then $460 doesn't sound like a bad price. If they just pull out the R-12, swap the compressor, & blow in some R-134a, it's a massive rip-off.
