Steering wheel removal help

'93 F150 with leather covered steering wheel. There are NO screws on the back of the steering wheel for removing the cover(Haynes manual shows screws on back side). Only thing on the cover (front or back) is the blue oval on the front. Just how does this cover come off???? 'Mo

If you're ABSOLUTELY sure that there aren't 2 phillips screws near the ends of the spokes, then just grab the top center & pull. You have no airbag, so that cover might just snap on. I can't specifically remember, but I know I've pulled a '93 horn pad before, & I thought there were 2 screws.

Why are you trying to get it open?

Tanks for input steve83. Yes, I am sure there are no screws. I took the manual out to the truck, looked at pictures and my steering wheel. No screws. May sound silly but it was something I looked at while reading through the manual. I don't need to remove the cover for anything. Just curious about the lack of screws. Sometimes when nothing on TV I just look at different sections of the manual. I like reading tech material. Holdover from my 30+ years as an aircraft mechanic I guess. 'Mo

Well, if you want the factory manual on CD, you can either DL it free from **a website whose address this BBS won't let me post** , shop eBay or the vendors here, or e-mail me for a hard copy.
