Really wierd problem. Help please!

Well, i have a 94 f150 4x4, and iam having a really wierd problem.

When iam driving and get to around 60mph the rpm's will suddenly go up (to around 3k) and there will be no gas (the pedal goes soft) then it will clunk and go back down to regular rpms (1800/1900 rpms). It seems to happen alot more when i get down to a 1/4 tank. It also seems to happen alot when i'm going up hills.

Does anyone know whats going on? if iam on clear in the description i can try and clearify.

Thanks

Does your truck have an auto trans? From your description it sounds liek the trans may be slipping, try checking the fluid.

You don't need to double-post your questions.
