90's F250?

Hello All,

I've never been a big fan of Trucks, but after getting my wife the F150 for christmas I am thinking about getting a early to mid-90's F250 with the crew cab.
Is there anything I should look out for?
-Best engine
-Trans to avoid, like the E4OD
-Typical problems when inspecting potential trucks
-Options that are a MUST

Thanks,
-Vycan

If ya wanna crew, but a shortbox, ya need 96 or 97. Only common tranny choices fer the '92-'97 are the E4OD auto or ZF-5 manual, but I have seen 2 C6 autos in my searchings (very tough but very rare).

You could get a 300 six, 302, and 7.3 IDI diesel depending how far back ya go along with just the 351w, 460, or 7.3L power stroke diesel later.

The F-250 4x4s have the Dana 50 TTB, while the otherwise same F-350 had the solid Dana 60. So that's somethin to look at.

Other than the beefier frame/suspension and larger motor choices, ain't much difference between the F150 of this vintage, so just search for the deals.
