fan removal

Hey, i was wondering if it would be ok for me to remove my fan for the winter to gain some power/gas milage. I live in the Northern part of michigan and it doesn't get over 40 degrees F until about May. Also I don't do any stop and go, it's all highway driving. I figured between those two things, i really don't need a fan do I?

leave it alone. If the thermostatic clutch is working properly, it costs you little or nothing to keep it in place

i unplugged my e-fan when it was about 40 below, also b/c my alt was fried and drove it with no problems, you could let it warm up in your driveway, drive all you wanted..the only thing is that when you just let it idle for 5-10 when hot it will drive the temp up....if you want to pull it then you lose 16 or so pounds and the water pump doesn't have to work as much...but its up to you, if you do it watch the guage ....good luck:santa:

Up to you, but if you have to do some stop and go for some reason your gonna be screwed. I dont think youll notice any measurable improvement with it off.
