Dashboard Light 94 xlt
One of my Speedometer lights has burned out. The dealer wants $89.95 per hour and says its going to take an hour and a half.
Anyone know if getting to that bulb is difficult? Even better a roadmap would be nice--It looks touchy getting in there.

it's not difficult at all, pull the dash from the right drivers vent all the way left and it's 2 or 4 torx/hex screws to remove the gauge cluster. The lights just twist in and out.

You skipped a few steps in there...
First, pull the 2 trim strips, then use a small hook tool to release the headlight **** from its shaft. Then remove the two 7mm screws from the black instrument bezel.

Having the shift lever in 1 & the wheel tilted fully down will make it MUCH easier to get the bezel out. If you have an automatic, you also have to disconnect the shift indicator cable somehow, and there are 3 ways: 1) pull the indicator out of the bottom of the cluster (there are 2 holes in the face that allow access to the 2 recessed 5.5mm [7/32"] T15 screws); 2) remove the cable end adjusting bracket from the column (I never do this, but many people do); 3) unhook the cable end from the shifter & then back off the adjusting wheel until the cable is released (this is what I always do, but it's not necessarily the best way).
THEN you pull the 4 cluster screws, tilt the cluster up so you can disconnect the 3 connectors, & pull it out so you can get to the bulbs. Check ALL of them while you have it out. If any look dark or electroplated (mirrored), replace them now.
While you have it out, you can also do some upgrades, as shown here.
