Headlight removal on '94

Is there some sort tool to remove the clips that are holding the actual headlight housing on? Or do I just need to get 'em off with needlenosed pliers... I could remove everything else, just not the headlight assembly. I have neither of the aforementioned tools lying around the house, and was wondering how to get the damn clips off. Thanks in advance.

I usually use a small flat screwdriver & a prybar to release the teeth on each side & lift the clip.

Thanks buddy, I'll try that... Seriously, using smaller tools slipped my mind.

Good Luck...

Wife and I just put the Crystal Clear headlights on her '92 F150 Nite... OMG... that was a 2 day ordeal for us... we ended up taking the front off... I'm not sure how the newer ones are but on ours, we took the clips off with a needle nose to "un-pinch" the locks and another to pick them up over the little lip that was there... I just can't see a way of removing all three clips without taking off the front... even our Ford Mantaince CD says to take off the front... If you do take off the front, here is a hint... remove your battery, and the overflow box... you'll need all the room you can get... 2 socket sets are a good idea too!!

Now that we know how to do it... and you don't get interupted with kids and stuff, you can probably do it within a couple hours... and 4 hands are better than 2...
