How to clean tps/erg/iac valves
How to clean tps/erg/iac valves
will someone please help i have a repair manual but this thing sucks!!! Whats it for people who want to think they can work on thier truck but never have to? The should tell "haynes" to be a little more specific, not everything that has to be done with the transmission do you need to take out the tranny!!! Whew sorry guys and girls im sure you all have felt this way. I have a new truck (new to me) sitting in my driveway and i cant drive it until i feel that im not going to screw up my trans even more. I recieved some help from a few great guys on here but im still stuck. I was told to clean out the TPS/ ERG/ and the IAC valves. When i refer to my book it just scratches the surface. If you know how to do these things it would be great for you to post it up so everyone, including me, would know how to do this mateniance without bringing it to a STEALERSHIP. besides, its a 95 they would have a feild day with me. So please your help would be greatly appreciated. I have a few more posts up here trying to gain knowledge on how to fix my trans... So if anyone has the answers , please tell. I own a 95 f 150 5.0 4x4, E40D trans. Oh btw, how could you tell if the shop changed all the fluid, including the torque converter??? B/C i dont think they did all of it, i was told after i had it out of the shop by a friend they herd that all they do is change the fluid that is in the pan. Boy what a bummer. So TPS, ERG and IAC Valve mateniance. Thankyou all for your time MRKOOL
try doing a search on just 'IAC' I think. Look for a post where a guy posts a link to another site. that link contains a detail thread about removing the throttle body (i.e. more than just IAC) and info on cleaning etc. I just read it recently, but would need to do the search myself again to find it.
