Unhappy broken steering column....?

well once again i have another problem on my 93 f150....im not EXACTLY sure waht this one is though

last night i went to put the truck in reverse, as i pulled back a little bit on the stick thing, i heard this pop and then instantly the stick was basically usesless...i could get it into drive and 1 and 2 but no where else...

i believe it is a steering column problem but im not positive...

because i couldnt get my truck into park, i had to put the parking brake on and turn it off like that...my keys are still in the ignition because it wont go into park...

if some1 has had this happen to them or know how/where i can fix it at, it would be greatly appreciated...thanks guys

Raise the hood...try working the linkage at the bottom of the column...sounds to me like you have a bad plastic bushing in the linkage...either at the column or at the trans. (bushing: Ford basic # 7341...or 7343)

Take the cover off below the steering wheel and I bet you snapped off the shifter. Bout 50 bucks at ford if i remember right.
